Saturn transits Sagittarius #2

astroscholar:

Adding more comments to my previous blog about Saturn transit in Sagittarius. The original post is here.

Saturn is coming to square with Neptune; exact on November 26. It will be a high degree of uncertainty and confusion; a time where emotions will prevail. A simple suggestion is to build everyday life as simple as possible and to hear the optimism within. Aspect is long, so the proportionality is important.

Saturn transit Sagittarius:

September 18, 2015 - December 20, 2017

Time devoted by stars to consider areas of law, race, culture, religion, education, spirituality, freedom and philosophy with greater sobriety.

  • Rule #1 - Each freedom has its borders - Saturn keeps the borders and of those were not monitored good enough, it’s time to recognize them and squeeze.
  • Rule # 2. Being too optimistic is frightening - Saturn puts reality touch on every-days life.
  • Rule # 3. Strict religious upbraiding impacts optimism - Saturn demands understanding how religious works for us and if that helps to grow or holds back.
  • Rule #4. Judging others for their perceived moral is self-righteous attitude - fight between different belief systems is so visible.
  • Rule #5. Taking risk and exploring the world seems risky - Saturn restricts traveling and exploring the world. People are asked to stay at home
  • Rule # 6. Higher principles Truth, Science, Religion, Growth, Morality, or Freedom are hard to change and those can be cruel - it is…

WE ARE BUILDING OUR FUTURE WHILE SATURN TRANSITS SAGITTARIUS

Venus goes retrograde (Jul 25-Sep 6)– reassess; change values

astroscholar:

Venus retrograde is a time to reassess, renegotiate, reorganize and reconnect. Sometimes tension and stress kept silent become visible. And previous ongoing conflicts may take a rest as partners reassess importance of them. You may change opinion about people, things and situations’ importance in your life. Venus retrograde can be a time when you can be very productive in creative ways.

Finances also can change direction. Material priorities are topic to rethink during Venus retrograde. Keep an eye on your spending. Issues about personal appearance, fashion, beauty and charm may also become conspicuous, either by their absence or by their sudden importance.

It not good time to fall in love or get married during Venus retrograde as Venus turn in direct position changes values, importance and ideals. New connections and people met during this time may look different when Venus is direct.

This Venus retrograde cycle is a bit complex. The retrograde phase begins in Virgo, but plays out in Leo. At first you set purpose, analyze your situation, discover a cause. Typically for Venus is in Virgo. Then you add more creativity, some portion of snobbism, childish behavior and joy to carry it out. There is potential for some high drama scenes or episodes with Venus in Leo.

There is longer than usual square to Saturn that probably all of us would choose to avoid if we had a choice because it is associated with disappointments through relationships. This time interval we are more vulnerable than usual to experience such disappointments.

Key Dates and Transits for Venus Retrograde:

Venus stationary Retrograde: Jul.25 – What point or planet in natal chart is activated by stationary Venus? This is an area where changes are required. Recognize these areas for reassessment.

Venus re-enters Leo: from August 1 – retrograde Venus un Leo plays drama, adds more pleasure and creativity.

Venus conjunct Jupiter and square Saturn: August 3-6 complex days. Difficulties in relationship can be overestimated. You may try too hard to manage it.

Venus conjunct the Sun: Aug.15 – love of life. Be bright. New cycle of Venus – Venus Morning Star.

Venus stationary Direct: Sep.06 – reassessment is done.

Have you noticed some intensity in one or more of your relationships? If so, you may be one whose natal chart is being activated by retrograde Venus. Be smart not overdramatizing it.

Retrograde is when a planet or body appears to be moving backwards in the sky for a short amount of time, as pictured above.

This occurs when the planets “pass” each other, since all orbits are of varying sizes and speeds. Below is a picture to illustrate as much; wherein the Sun is labeled S and rests in the middle of the orbits, T(1-5) represetns the observer’s planet (presumably Earth) and P(1-5) represents the observed planet (ex; Mars). To the right is a blue bar, labeled A(1-5). This represents the celestial sphere, or the backdrop of stars (this is pictured above, where we see Mars moving around and the stars staying still).

When you were younger, you probably spent some time in the car on the highway watching the other cars. When the car we are in gains on one ahead of it, we know both are moving forward. But as we pass the car, it appears, briefly, as if it were moving backwards. Like in the image below, we know the tractor trailer isn’t moving backwards; but it appears that, relative to our motion and perspective, it looks like it is.

A similar phenomenon happens with the planets, since they all orbit at different speeds. We know none of them are literally moving backwards; they are apparently moving backwards. In other words, they just look like they’re reversing direction.

Mercury turns retrograde more frequently than any other planet, but the outer planets are in retrograde motion more often than Mercury. Mercury’s short orbit keeps it 28 degrees from the Sun, and when it reaches its edge, it appears to change directions again. Venus and Mars are in retrograde for about 7-10% of the year, and Jupiter and Pluto are in retrograde for large periods of the year.

Naturally, many of us are born while a planet is in Retrograde.
